They have two regular comedy gigs, one for novice comics and the other for seasoned professional acts.</p> <p><strong>The scouse House</strong> is the novice end of the market with the usual mix of 'old codger does poetry', nervous alien-story-spouting odd ball, as well as a few nice little comedy gems in the form of hard working open mic fodder.  All the acts are brave folks and have my respect.</p> <p>Showing his support, I was amazed to see the great <strong>John Gorman</strong> of Tizwaz (bucket 'o' water fling!)  For those of you the right side of thirty, he is a legend in these here parts.  John has spend much of his time in the states, and has become a bit of a political comedy activist with a comic song/poem about <strong>George Bush</strong>.  It was great to see that John is still on the circuit and endorsing the Express Comedy venture.</p> <p>The night is held together with an unusual but funny compere duo act Ben and <strong>Sam Harland</strong>, who manage to make the chaos quite entertaing.  At one point I even had a little bit of wee come out!  Well worth checking this out.
